About

I solve problems, design systems, and build teams across AI, operations, and infrastructure.

I am currently an Industrial Engineering student at the University at Buffalo with a Computer Science background. I am also a Supplier Quality Engineering Intern at Corning, where I work on quality, data, and manufacturing-related projects. Outside of class and work, I serve as the IISE Secretary and am a member of ISM.

I am interested in building AI systems that create real-world impact, especially in manufacturing, supplier quality, and operations. I enjoy working at the intersection of technical problem solving, statistical analysis, modeling systems, and forward deployed engineering- bringing ideas from concept to something people can actually use.

What I'm Working On

  • Supplier quality and manufacturing projects at Corning, including quality analysis, measurement systems, process improvement, and data-driven workflows.
  • AI and data systems for manufacturing, with a focus on making engineering work more efficient and scalable.
  • Offline AI agent projects, exploring how useful AI tools can run locally and support day-to-day work.
  • Coding projects with different styles and purposes, from practical tools to personal experiments.
  • Learning how to connect industrial engineering, computer science, and operations research into systems that solve real problems.

Some History

I am originally from Malaysia and grew up around practical, hands-on problem solving. Coming from a farming and small-business background taught me to value resourcefulness, hard work, and building things that are useful in the real world.

Before studying in the United States, I worked on a solar greenhouse project in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. That experience helped me understand how engineering, sustainability, operations, and business decisions connect together.

At UB, I became more interested in data, AI, and systems thinking. Over time, I started seeing industrial engineering not only as process improvement, but also as a way to design better decision systems, better workflows, and better tools for people.

I Like

  • AI systems that solve real problems.
  • Manufacturing, supplier quality, and operations.
  • Forward deployed engineering.
  • Operations research and modeling.
  • Statistical analysis and data-driven decisions.
  • Building simple tools that make work easier.
  • Learning from people who are excellent at what they do.
  • Teams that care about quality, ownership, and execution.
  • Good design, clear thinking, and practical impact.

I Dream Of

  • Building systems that make technical work faster, smarter, and more human.
  • Bringing AI into real-world industries in a useful and responsible way.
  • Becoming the kind of engineer who can understand the problem, design the system, and help the team execute.
  • Working with ambitious people who care about impact.
  • Staying humble, curious, and useful.
